how we keep this kind.
hi honey is small, slow, and human. these rules exist so it stays that way. break them and you're out — sometimes after a warning, sometimes immediately. always at our discretion.
what's not allowed.
- harassment. sexual or otherwise. one warning, then ban. for severe cases, no warning.
- hate. racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, antisemitism, islamophobia. zero tolerance, instant ban.
- nudity or sexual content in profile photos. we remove the photo and warn you the first time. second time = ban.
- fake profiles. photos must be of you, recent (last two years), recognisable. no celebrities, no friends, no AI generations. instagram link must match the person in the photos.
- minors. 18+ only. ever. if we suspect underage we delete on the spot and ban the inviter who let them in.
- commercial use. no selling, no promoting your business in chats or bio, no escort or sex-work solicitation, no recruiting for OnlyFans / cam sites.
- illegal activity. drugs (beyond casual mentions), weapons, fraud, anything that puts others at risk. ban + report to authorities where required.
- spam, scams, phishing.instant ban. we also delete the inviter's profile if a pattern emerges.
- impersonation.pretending to be someone you aren't. instant ban.
- sharing other people's private info. doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, screenshots of chats posted publicly. instant ban. we cooperate with police on doxxing.
what we expect.
- be honest. real photos, real age, real intentions.
- be human. a hello and a question beats a one-word opener every time.
- take no for no.if someone unmatches or stops replying, that's the answer.
- meet in public for the first date.we recommend honey lou bar — we know the staff, you'll be safe, and the first round is on the house with a hi-honey match code.
- tell us when something's wrong.reports help everyone. they're anonymous to the reported person.
how to report or block.
in the chat with the person, tap the · · · menu in the top right.
- blockis instant. they vanish from your view. they can't see you, message you, or appear in your daily profiles ever again. they're not told you blocked them — to them, you just stopped existing.
- report sends a flag to our admin queue with the chat history. tell us briefly what happened. reports are anonymous; the reported person is never told who reported them.
what we do when you report.
- within 24 hours a real person reads it. usually faster on weekdays.
- we look at the chat, the profile, prior reports against the person, and act. action ranges from a warning email through account ban through deletion through reporting to police.
- we don't share the outcome publicly, but we always reply to the reporter to confirm we read it.
- if you're in immediate danger, call 110 (germany) or your local emergency number first. we're a dating app, not first responders.
appeals.
been banned and think it's wrong? email hi@honeylou.de with your account email and what you think happened. we re-read everything and reply within a few days. some bans we'll reverse; most we won't. we don't debate evidence in public.
contact + transparency.
