what is hi honey?
the members' app of honey lou, a bar in berlin-neukölln. eight curated people land each morning at 7. date, make friends, or come for the live music — you choose what you're open to.
how big is it?
over 420 members, average age 32 — over 250 women, over 150 men, over 10 non-binary and other. almost everyone is in neukölln and next door. share your link with friends you'd want to run into here. it stays free — a promise, not a trial.
how do i get in, and how do i bring someone?
apply, and a person reads it — usually within a few days. to bring someone, share your link from settings. it opens the same form.
what does it cost?
nothing. no subscriptions, no purchases. the bar pays for it.
when is the bar open?
tue – sat, from 7pm. you don't need a concert or a match to come by: the live music nights are extras on top. the tonight tab says whether it's open tonight.
does someone see when i like them?
no. likes are blind both ways. they only find out if they like you back — that's the match, and the note you sent opens the chat. no match, nobody ever reads it.
can i undo a pass?
not on the spot. someone you passed on can come back around in a later batch on their own.
why only eight a day?
because the pool is still small. eight keeps everyone worth seeing in front of you instead of spent in one sitting, and it keeps people from being swiped past in bulk. the cap goes up as the community grows — it's a decision about this size, not a principle.
my feed is thin, or empty.
you've seen everyone who fits your preferences for now. it refills as members join and as people finish their profiles.
a notification said someone liked me, but there was nobody there.
an old notification. they sit in your phone until you clear them, so tapping one days later opens a feed you've long since answered. we only send it for likes you can still answer.
what do i need to be shown to others?
a first name, your age, your gender and one photo. that's the whole rule — everything else on your profile is optional, and the more you fill in, the better the matching gets.
can i pause?
yes. in settings, turn off “visible to others”. matches and chats stay. turn it back on any time.
how do i delete my account?
settings → delete account. permanent, immediate, everything goes. no email needed.
someone is being weird, unsafe or inappropriate.
in that chat, tap · · · → report or block. blocks are instant, reports reach us within 24 hours. the community guidelines say where the line is.
i can’t log in.
reset your password. if you have the app with notifications on, the link also comes through as a notification. nothing at all? check spam, then write to hi@honeylou.de.
something is broken, or i have an idea.
tell us from settings → feedback. it arrives with the screen you were on, and we answer in the same thread.
where does my data live?
on our own server in the EU, never sold, never shared. the privacy page has the details.
