hi honey was born inside honey lou, a small bar in berlin neukölln.
we kept watching the same thing happen. people would come in alone, sit at the bar, glance at each other, and then go home. swipe through their phone for an hour and never actually meet anyone.
we thought: the bar already does the hard part. it brings the right kind of people into one room. all the algorithms in the world don't replace that. but they could help the people who haven't shown up yet find each other — and then get them off the app, into the bar, into a real conversation.
